Love by nature requires risk. You can only love to the degree that you are willing to be vulnerable. Being guarded goes against the very nature of love.
A while back, I read a tweet that stated. “Love is giving someone the ability to hurt you, but trusting them not to.” In other words, Love says, "Yes I'm taking a chance and this will really hurt if it doesn't work out, but I trust that it will work out that it will be successful."
Ultimately love is an act of faith. You can never know everything about someone. There comes a point where you say, “This is what I DO know, and based on that, I BELIEVE that this will work.” We have to live by faith and that means we have to make decisions without having all the facts and trust that God will see us through.
