Friends
Last week, an old friend told me to check out the “Distant Relatives” album by Nas and Damien Marley. It's a great album and one of my favorite songs is “Friends”. It made me think about my friendships. I think one of the things that bonds me with someone is going through ups and downs together. Sitting in a circle and sharing doesn't make me feel close to someone. The friends I'm closest to are the ones who've walked through numerous stages of life with me. Proverbs says that “There are 'friends' who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother”. I'm thankful that I have friends who are like brothers to me.
