Misunderstood

When you say things that are meaningful, challenging or insightful, you run the risk of being misunderstood. There's no way around it and you have to get used to it.

Any time you speak or write or take a drastic step, there is the possibility that people will misconstrue your words or question your motives. People will question your stance, your logic and your sanity. It's happened to everyone who has attempted to do something significant, and it will happen to you.

I'm getting to the point where I'm more and more comfortable with being misunderstood—or at least not fully understood. I want to get to a place where I can speak, write and act with no concern about whether my words and actions make sense to EVERYONE.

Everybody won't understand, and that's OK. Be thankful for the people who DO understand. Move forward.

I've run into that a lot in my blogging life. People will become enraged with offense by something I write, and I am so confused sometimes. Everyone will not always understand, and everyone doesn't WANT to understand.

Yeah, I think that's true. I'm new to blogging but I know that some people are more interested in arguing than they are with understanding.
